Enriching the Lives of Students

Supporting Santa Clarita Valley Public School Districts

The SCV Education Foundation works closely with all five school districts within the Santa Clarita Valley: Castaic Union School District, Newhall School District, Saugus Union School District, Sulphur Springs Union School District and the William S. Hart Union High School District. Half of our board of directors are made up of assistant superintendents from these districts which means everything we do has the input and support of district representation.

There are currently 55 public schools in Santa Clarita, 50,000+ students and over 2,200 teachers. Our goal is to touch the lives of each and every teacher and student through one of our programs and events.

History of the SCV Education Foundation

The Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation was founded in 1984 to foster relationships between businesses, schools, the community, educators, and youth. At the time, Newhall Ranch and Farming top executives challenged other business to support excellence in education and to build on relationships between business and schools. Out of that challenge came two community wide events, Teacher Tribute, which honors the top educators in Santa Clarita and Principal for Day which brings business leaders into the classroom. Both of these events have continued and are our two largest annual fundraisers.

In 1995, we joined forces with the local chamber and became the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation. Finally, in 2009 the Santa Clarita Valley Education launched out on its own and has continued our mission to enrich public school education and promote appreciation for public school education in the Santa Clarita Valley.
