Thank you to all the teachers and administrators for welcoming our students back to school. The extra special kind words and caring for our children was so appreciated. Our students are once again feeling secure as they begin this school year.

As parents, we can help our kids feel comfortable and confident. There are situations that may come up throughout the school day that could affect your child’s sense of calm. In most cases they are little things, but a child’s reaction could be one of panic. Take a few minutes to discuss the questions below with your child and come up with resolutions to help relieve any anxiety.

The questions are written from a child’s perspective. Give them the tools they need to minimize unnecessary stress. The right answers are those that work best for your family.

*What do I do if I forget my snack/lunch?
*What do I do if I leave my backpack in the car?
*What do I do if someone hurts my feelings?
*What do I do if I don’t feel well at school?
*What do I do if whoever picks me up from school is late?
*What if I don’t have anyone to play with at recess?

These are just a few but hopefully helpful.
Wishing all of our teachers, administrators, parents, and students a wonderful school year!
