Teacher Innovation Grants

Our Teacher Grant program supports innovative ideas and projects to engage students’ learning. These projects help excite young minds beyond what some school budgets may allow.

Bag of Books

Designed to encourage reading, Bag of Books allows Kindergarten students to “own” a different set of books each week to read on their own or with their families. In areas where students have no or low access to books outside school, this program promotes literacy and responsibility.

Page Turners

The Page Turners program provides books to students in junior high who are falling behind the targeted reading level. Starting or adding to a personal library with age-appropriate books, encourages a literacy environment at home and motivates students to improve their literacy skills.

Read With Me

Elementary ages students who need extra help with literacy and comprehension are provided a personal tutor or “Read with Me’ volunteer. Many times the volunteer is a senior citizen creating a multi-generation experience which enhances the lives of both the student and the volunteer.
