The SCV Education Foundation places teams of literacy firends at schools that will benefit most from the program. This program has been invaluable to students, teachers and volunteers alike. Entering our third year, we will be expanding the program into more schools and adding an after school program.
On school campuses, volunteers are matched with students to work one-on-one or in small groups to improve reading and comprehension skills. "Anytime you measure your successes, as I have this program, with a combination of heartfelt emotion, self awareness and awareness of others, you have accomplished something that will stay with you a lifetime." |   |
