Lit Fest

Feature

In its 7th year Santa Clarita's Literacy & Arts Festival offers the community an opportunity to explore, play, see, create and hear the different forms of arts and literacy. Surrounded by books, guests will be entertained by storytellers that include favorite authors and performers. On hand will be several art activities to let your imaginations run wild. Young writers can practice their skill as a “Journalist for a Day”.  Join the Remo drum circle and then go on to explore other instruments. See what all five Santa Clarita Valley School Districts have done in partnership with the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center and the Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.! Exhibits and interactive demos will highlight ways in which the arts are now being integrated in public schools throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Visit dozens of booths and stations that offer an array of activities and demos. Surprises and delights will be in abundance in and outside the library.
